Frequently Asked Questions

Kodamara Fusion

  • Kodamara Fusion will happen at http://lotm.otherside.xyz/kodamara. Voyagers will be able to select their Mara, Catalyst, & Sediment Fragments to combine into a Kodamara during Kodamara Fusion.

  • Kodamara Fusion will be open indefinitely until further notice.

  • One Catalyst can be applied to a Mara in Kodamara Fusion. The effects of the Catalyst used during Kodamara Fusion are irreversible, so choose wisely. Once your Catalyst is consumed by a Mara, the Catalyst NFT and Mara NFT will be sent to the burn contract and you will receive a Kodamara NFT.

  • Catalysts can be obtained through playing Legends of the Mara Open Beta. Catalysts can also be purchased from the Otherside Catalyst collection on Magic Eden (https://magiceden.io/collections/ethereum/otherside-catalyst).

  • Yes, your Catalyst NFT needs to be minted to the blockchain (as an ERC-721) in order to participate in Kodamara Fusion.

  • Kodamara stats use the Mara’s stats as a foundation. Kodamara will inherit the tier of the Mara used in the fusion for the skills associated with that Mara’s role. For example, an Epic Hunter Mara will provide the fused Kodamara with at least Epic Tier Hunting stats, though the Kodamara can potentially receive Legendary stats. The Kodamara’s stats for the roles that the base Mara did not possess will be random.

  • Each Mara type will yield a different body style for the Kodamara. Each specific Catalyst has a set of base traits, which can be viewed on http://lotm.otherside.xyz/kodamara by clicking on each Catalyst. Your Kodamara traits will be a randomly generated unique combination of traits based on the Catalyst type and Mara type. Mara tier has no impact on the visual traits assigned to your Kodamara.

  • Sediment Fragments will have multiple effects on your Kodamara’s evolution. Adding Sediment Fragments can guarantee or increase the chance of the following traits appearing on your Kodamara.

Parasite: Adding any Sediment Fragment guarantees your Kodamara receives a Parasite Trait.
Eye Textures: Adding any Sediment Fragment guarantees your Kodamara receives a new texture for their eyes.
Nascent and Overload Auras: Users can increase the chance of receiving an Aura by adding more of a single sediment type. When enough Sediment Fragments are applied, a Nascent Aura trait can become a guaranteed trait.Users can increase the chance of an Overload Aura by adding the maximum amount of Sediment Fragments. Adding two types of Sediment Fragments further increases the chance for a Overload Aura trait.
Entwined and Pure Auras: These mysterious Auras are sometimes the result of maximizing the amount of Sediment Fragments used in the Fusion process.

  • Sediment Fragment traits are aesthetic visual traits of Kodamara given through Kodamara Fusion.

  • Each of the 99 parasites were designed and illustrated by Yuga. An earlier version of this answer mistakenly attributed the parasites to Gremplin. We apologize for the error!

  • Eye textures affect the color of a Kodamara’s eyes. Eye texture colors are based on Sediment Fragment type added during Kodamara Fusion.

  • All Kodamara evolved from a Mara with a Gucci Kodapendant trait will have the Gucci Kodapendant trait. Please review the information regarding IP rights and licensing below.

Loot Minting

  • Loot for Legends of the Mara is a form of Virtual Good made available as rewards in Legends of the Mara games. Loot comes from hunting Shattered in the Legends of the Mara Open Beta, which requires a Hunter Mara and an Otherdeed. Loot has two sources: the Chests that defeated Shattered drop and the Leaderboard. There are three types of Loot for Season 1: Catalysts (including the rare sub-category of Catalyst Loot called the King Catalyst, mentioned below), Ship Parts and Partner Loot, all of which will be made available to be minted into NFTs. For more about Virtual Goods, please see the Legends of the Mara Terms of Service here.

  • The Partners are third party NFT collections we’ve partnered with by inviting them into the Legends of the Mara ecosystem to collaborate creatively. LoTM partners include: World of Women, Mutant Hounds, MegaForce Sentinels, Renga, Forgotten Runes Wizard Cult, and HV-MTL.

  • Chest & Leaderboard Loot from Season 1 were obtainable by hunting the Shattered on your Otherdeeds in Season 1 of Legends of the Mara. New rewards are obtainable each season.

  • Chest Loot is obtained once a Shattered is killed and a chest is opened. Each loot chest contains Ship Parts and may also contain Partner Loot, which can enable holders to receive Partner Loot NFT if supplies last.

  • Leaderboard Loot is obtained by obtaining a high enough position on the leaderboard at the end of a Season to receive the Leaderboard Loot specified for that position.

  • Both Chest & Leaderboard Loot will be on the Ethereum Blockchain. By minting these rewards, Voyagers will be responsible for payment of any transaction fees associated with ETH.

  • In the UI, a user will be able to select loot to claim to a wallet prior to minting these items to the blockchain. Loot earned on an Otherdeed in a cold wallet can be claimed by a hot wallet. Loot must be claimed to a wallet before it can be minted.

  • Yes, a warm wallet can claim loot on behalf of a cold wallet. First, all loot will be assigned to the connected wallet and then minting will be available. The newly minted loot will be minted on the blockchain to the warm wallet. Check your delegations!

  • You will have to pay gas fees, but there’s no purchase price to mint Catalyst Loot, Ship Part Loot or Partner Loot into NFTs.

  • Yes, you will have to pay gas fees to mint Catalyst Loot, Ship Part Loot, and Partner Loot into NFTs.

  • Ship Parts are Loot that come in 1 of 6 varieties (Armor, Engine, Hangar, Sensor, Shield, Weapon) and 1 of 5 rarities (Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary). The parts will be burned to create Ships, which will be used in future versions of Legends of the Mara. Ship Parts are earned from Chests and from the Leaderboard.

  • Partner Loot NFTs are for use in a Partner’s NFT ecosystem. The Partner will determine what those uses will be.

  • Users can follow each of the Partner’s official Twitter accounts for more information. Please be careful when clicking links or connecting a wallet. Always verify and cross check any links coming from Twitter or Discord.

  • King Catalysts are a special and rare type of Loot reward from the Catalyst collection. There are a total of five (“5”) King Catalysts Loot rewards available for Season 1, one for each of the five leaderboards in Legends of the Mara, each of which can be minted into a King Catalyst NFT. Each King Catalyst NFT can be combined later with a Mara to make a unique, 1 of 1 Kodamara related to that King Catalyst. Please see the forthcoming Kodamara Fusion FAQ and Terms of Service for more information.

GETTING STARTED

  • Combining the collectability of a card game with the chill of an idle tap game, Legends of the Mara open beta pits your Otherside and partner NFTs against hostiles roaming the land. This open beta release is the first step in exploring Otherside and getting to know Oda, the original inhabitants of Otherside that include Koda, Mara, and Kodamara.

Hatch Mara from Vessels, harvest and trade Sediment Fragments, and defend your land from Shattered. Each time you defeat them, you’ll be rewarded with a loot chest. Some contain items for spaceship crafting. Others contain NFTs from partner collection ecosystems. And all will help you prepare for what’s ahead.

  • Consider Camp your LoTM home base. Here it be.

  • The Legends of the Mara open beta is a token-gated game exclusively available for Otherdeed Expanded NFT holders. You can buy an Otherdeed Expanded on Blur or X2Y2 or claim one by burning an original Otherdeed for Otherside in exchange for an Otherdeed Expanded, a Vessel, and a Koda (if a Koda is present on the OG Otherdeed).

Once you have your Otherdeed Expanded (i.e. your LoTM-ready Otherdeed), you can either harvest its resources in Camp or defend it against Shattered. Camp requires a Koda, Farmer Mara, or Kodamara, while Shattered requires a Koda, Hunter Mara, or Kodamara. More on Camp and Shattered gameplay below.

  • Koda, Mara, and Kodamara are all Oda, aka the magical beings tied to the fate of Otherside. The most powerful Oda are Koda. There are only 10,000 in existence. An Oda who arrived in Otherside via a Vessel is a Mara, which can evolve into the more powerful Kodamara by ingesting a Catalyst and some optional Sediment Fragments. A Catalyst has special properties necessary for the evolution of Mara into Kodamara, and affects the physical traits of the Kodamara, while Sediment Fragments affect Kodamaras’ physical traits and rarities.

Burning an original Otherdeed NFT into an Otherdeed Expanded NFT grants holders a Vessel containing a Mara with one of three functions. Hunter Mara fight Shattered, Farmer Mara harvest your Otherdeed’s Sediment Fragments, and Enchanter Mara boost the skills of the Oda around them. While a Mara can only perform one function — hunting, farming, or enchanting — Koda and Kodamara can perform all three, but only one at a time.

Some Otherdeeds also have Koda, but if one isn’t present on your Otherdeed, you can buy a Koda and assign it to your Otherdeed to either hunt, farm, or enchant.

Learn more about Oda functions in the “Oda” section below, and learn how to assign Oda to your Otherdeed in the “Camp Gameplay” section.

  • LoTM open beta Season 1 begins September 26, 2023.

  • First, you’ll need to burn your Vessel NFTs to hatch Mara. You can then assign your Mara to your Otherdeed, which acts as a game card with slots for all your Oda.

Depending on your Otherdeed’s Environment Tier, there will be between 1 and 5 upper slots for workers (i.e. Hunter or Farmer Oda), and 3 dedicated lower slots — regardless of Environment Tier — reserved for Enchanter Oda. Heads up that Enchanter Oda need to remain rooted to Camp for their buffs to be active. This means that Koda and Kodamara assigned to enchant can’t hunt or farm.

  • It’ll be automatically unassigned from its designated work function and be moved into the ‘inventory’ of the new holding wallet.

  • Once harvested, Sediment Fragments are tied to the wallet connected to that game. If that same Otherdeed is delegated to someone else, those Sediment Fragments will be harvested by them, not you. For all other assets on the Otherdeed, they stay with the wallet that holds them.

  • Regret, probably. But if you don’t want to FOMO spiral, Season 1 is the ideal time to hatch Mara from Vessels. Once hatched, Mara have one of three functions — hunting, farming, or enchanting — which in turn allows you to either fight Shattered and rake in in-game loot or harvest Sediment Fragments from your Otherdeed. Starting LoTM with a Koda or evolving your Mara into a Kodamara allows you to participate in either gameplay style. Check out the Oda section below for more deets on Kodamara.

  • We support the two most recent versions of Chrome, Firefox, Brave, Edge, and Safari on desktop. We do not support plug-and-play peripheral controllers for desktop. And as for the mobile experience, we’re working on it.

  • We support MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, and any hardware/software wallet compatible with WalletConnect, including WalletConnect v2.0. For other hardware/software wallets, we recommend using Warm.xyz. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee support for smart contract wallets, such as Gnosis Safe.

  • For support, create a ticket in Otherside Discord or email [email protected]. You can also submit any feedback through the form in the bottom right corner of your screen.

ODA

  • Comprised of Koda, Mara, and Kodamara, Oda are the magical defenders and caretakers of Otherside.

  • Koda are the primary keepers of Otherside. They have a natural ability to hunt, farm, and enchant, and at power levels above and beyond those of Mara or Kodamara. A Koda can be assigned to an Otherdeed Expanded to perform any of these functions — but only one function at a time.

  • A Vessel, which premiered at the end of the Bone Deed trailer, is a meteor capable of hatching a Mara. Each Vessel has a function that its Mara adopts; Hunter Vessels hatch Hunter Mara, Farmer Vessels hatch Farmer Mara, and Enchanter Vessels hatch Enchanter Mara.

Though Mara can only perform their original function, they can become more powerful and versatile by evolving into a Kodamara. They can do this by ingesting a Catalyst (and optional Sediment Fragments). The ensuing Kodamara can then perform all three functions, but only one at a time — and they’ll remain most effective at their original role.

  • Mara are Oda that emerge from a Vessel. They’re nascent workers able to either hunt, farm, or enchant. To get an in-game Mara, you’ll need to burn your Vessel NFT. This means that once your Vessel NFT is gone, it’s gone for good, and in return, you’ll receive a playable Mara that’s an ERC-721 token separate from its original Vessel and that is part of an NFT collection with its own, new smart contract.

Hatched from Hunter Vessels, Hunter Mara defend your Otherdeed and Otherside by fighting Shattered. Hatched from Farmer Vessels, Farmer Mara tend to your Otherdeed and farm Sediment Fragments which you can use during a Catalysis, aka a Mara-to-Kodamara evolution. In the future, you’ll be able to trade and sell your Sediment Fragments by converting batches of them into an ERC-1155 NFT. Hatched from Enchanter Vessels, Enchanter Mara boost the skills of everything assigned to their Otherdeed Camp simultaneously. The more Enchanters you have, the faster your Farmers will farm, and the better your Hunters will fight. Enchanters must be a part of a team; their enhancements can’t be used on their own.

  • When a Mara ingests a Catalyst (and some optional Sediment Fragments), it evolves into a Kodamara that takes on the physical traits possessed by that Catalyst. Higher amounts of Sediment Fragments increase the rarity of the Kodamara. Once evolved, a Kodamara can hunt, farm, or enchant — but they can only do one at a time, and they’ll always be most effective at their original function.

CAMP GAMEPLAY

  • Camp is your LoTM home base. Entering Camp allows you to assign Oda to your Otherdeed, harvest Sediment Fragments, and activate Shattered battles. Essentially, Camp is where you get shit done.

  • In Camp, your Otherdeed Expanded transforms into a playable game card with slots for Oda assignments. Only an Otherdeed Expanded can participate in Camp, so be sure to decouple any Otherdeed for Otherside NFTs you have remaining. For more info on unlocking the LoTM gameplay experience through your Otherdeed Expanded NFT, our blog has got you covered.

  • Though all Oda are helpful, they’re not all created equal. The higher the percentage under your Oda, the better it is at its assigned role. For info on all other percentages, simply hover over your number of choice. Or check out this nice graphic we put together for your eyeballs.

  • First, your Environment Tier determines how many workers — i.e. Hunter and Farmer Oda — can be assigned to your Otherdeed. A Tier 1 Environment will have a maximum of 1 worker, while a Tier 5 Environment will have a maximum of 5 workers. There will always be 3 dedicated slots reserved for Enchanter Oda, regardless of Environment Tier.

Second, higher Environment Tiers contain better loot, which you’ll receive upon defeating Shattered.

  • Sediment is an Otherdeed trait rated on a scale of 1 to 3. The higher the Sediment Tier, the more Fragments an Otherdeed produces per harvest. Sediment Fragments are an Otherdeed resource that you’ll be able to trade or use in a catalysis, aka a Kodamara evolution. In the future, you’ll also be able to trade Sediment Fragments.

  • Sediment Fragments can be harvested from an Otherdeed. They are attached to the wallet that was connected when you hit the harvest button. Sediment Fragments can be used to affect the appearance of a Kodamara during the fusion process (please see the Kodamara FAQ for more details).

When in-game, assigning a Farmer Oda to your Otherdeed initiates farming for that deed. Without a farmer, no Sediment Fragments are farmed. Assigning an Enchanter Oda to your Otherdeed along with a Farmer Oda will decrease the amount of time it takes to harvest Sediment Fragments. You can see the immediate effect of various role assignments on the bottom of your Otherdeed game card.

  • A higher Sediment Tier on an Otherdeed will yield higher amounts of Sediment Fragments as you farm. But keep in mind that each season’s available sediment is based on the global supply cap for all Voyagers, and there’s a separate cap for each type of sediment (i.e. Biogenic Swamp, Chemical Goo, Rainbow Atmos, Cosmic Dream, and Infinite Expanse).

This means that if more Voyagers are actively farming the same sediment type as you, you’ll have a lower likelihood of earning as many Sediment Fragments in that season than you would another, lesser-farmed sediment.

Once Sediment Fragments are able to be harvested, they're deducted from the global sediment cap. If you wish to trade Sediment Fragments with other players, you'll need to mint them to ERC-1155 NFTs during the sediment mint. After the global sediment cap is exhausted, you’ll have to wait for the next season for new Sediment Fragments to become available.

  • Converting ApeCoin to LoTM’s in-game currency, Myst, is the quickest and easiest way to speed up Vessel hatching so you can receive and assign a Mara to your Otherdeed. From Camp, you can also enter Shattered gameplay, where Myst will give you an upper hand by decreasing the recharge time for your Hunter Oda’s special abilities. Once you’ve defeated Shattered, Myst will also allow you to speed up the arrival of a new Shattered.

Heads up that Myst is non-transferrable and non-refundable once purchased. And while it can be purchased on a cold wallet and spent with a delegated warm wallet, it can't be transferred or used outside of the LoTM ecosystem. Please confirm all wallet delegations prior to purchasing Myst.

SHATTERED GAMEPLAY

  • A part of LoTM, Shattered pits you and your Oda against the hostiles roaming Otherside. Using Hunter Oda — plus partner collections in future seasons — you’ll be able to fight Shattered and retrieve loot that can be minted at the end of each season.

  • Yep. Each time a Vessel shatters (instead of Hatching normally), it creates — you guessed it — Shattered. They seemingly only exist to fuck shit up in Otherside.

  • When you have at least one Hunter Oda assigned to your Otherdeed, it’ll automatically start battling Shattered in your game “background.” Click the red “Hunt” button to enter Shattered gameplay mode. This will show you your Hunters’ progress and let you get in on the action by layering buffs and debuffs and unleashing combo attacks.

Buffs are skills that strengthen your Hunters, debuffs are skills that weaken Shattered, and some skills allow for direct damage. When enough skills are used in quick succession, a combo attack becomes available which combines the power of all of your Hunters.

  • Does Wagmi-san wear glasses? While your Oda will attack Shattered on their own, they’re at their sharpest with your leadership. Click on the cards at the bottom of your screen to see each one’s unique attacks, buffs, debuffs, and special moves. Timing and layering your buffs and skills is key to maximizing your damage output — which is key to killing Shattered quickly, raking in loot, and climbing the leaderboard.

Each Environment Tier has its own pool of loot and its own leaderboard. A higher damage output relative to other Voyagers in your same Environment Tier will earn you more loot. Voyagers averaging the fastest Shattered kills each season will climb the leaderboard for their environment and decrease the amount of time they have to wait until a new Shattered shows up. Finally, all Shattered loot is limited in quantity each season - when it’s gone, it’s gone.

TL;DR: Lead your Oda. Kill Shattered quickly. Grab that loot.

  • Treasure chests are game rewards for vanquishing Shattered. Each time you defeat Shattered, you’ll be rewarded with in-game items that can help you in the game or in interoperable environments. This could mean anything from parts to help you make a spacecraft to NFTs from partner collection ecosystems. Reminder that each Environment Tier contains its own loot, and the tier of chest rewarded is determined by time to vanquish Shattered relative to other LoTM players. The number and type of items in chest tier will vary. In future seasons, playing with partner collections will also score you unique rewards. More on partner collections in “The Friends & Coming Soon” section below.

  • The Leaderboard will be based on total Shattered damage in an Environment Tier. Each Environment Tier will still have a separate Leaderboard, but each wallet will only have one Leaderboard entry per Environment Tier. Your cumulative damage will determine your position on the Leaderboard at the end of the season. The wallet with the most Shattered damage on each Environment Tier will hold the #1 position on the Leaderboard.

  • Converting ApeCoin to LoTM’s in-game currency, Myst, is the quickest and easiest way to gain an upper hand against Shattered and other Voyagers. With Myst, you can refresh your team’s abilities and skills and make new Shattered appear sooner.

THE FRIENDS & COMING SOON

  • In future seasons, you’ll be able to turn partner collection NFTs into playable LoTM teammates capable of taking down Shattered. Here are the friends who are on the invite list: BAYC, MAYC, 10KTF, HV-MTL, Meebits, CrypToadz, Forgotten Runes, Mutant Hounds, Renga, World of Women, and MegaForce Sentinels.

  • For starters, partner collection teammates can add to your Hunter team without taking up a roster spot. These partners are also cool NFTs in their own right that holders will be able to claim.

  • Catalysts. The Otherside Odiac contains four seasons, each with its own Catalysts. Use one (and some optional Sediment Fragments) to evolve your Mara into a Kodamara that takes on new abilities and physical traits. But be warned: Catalysts are limited. Once they’re gone, they’re gone for good — and once you’ve fed one to a Mara, there’s no going back. Use one of the first season’s Catalysts or wait to see what others appear down the line. The choice is yours.

  • To construct a Ship, players will need to gather enough Ship Parts that they can build the 6 unique Components. Each Component requires 10 parts to complete its construction. Currently in Season 1, Parts for Hangars and Engines are available as loot from defeating Shattered and Parts for the remaining Components will be available in future seasons. When constructing a Component, the Ship Parts can be of any rarity, though higher rarity parts will contribute more to your Ship’s overall power.

KODA DECOUPLING & VESSEL CLAIM

  • Koda Decoupling will separate Koda’s metadata from their respective Otherdeeds and result in a standalone Koda NFT collection. Otherdeed Expanded and Otherside Kodas NFTs play different roles in future activations, which are unlocked by decoupling.

Only Voyagers who hold Otherdeeds that contain a Koda can participate in the Koda Decoupling.

  • The Koda decoupling utilizes a burn mechanic for the original Otherdeed. The result is three new NFTs on three new smart contracts: an Otherside Expanded NFT, Otherside Koda NFT, & Otherside Vessel NFT.

    • Otherdeed Expanded NFT Collection: Blur or X2Y2
    • Otherside Koda NFT Collection: Blur or X2Y2
    • Otherside Vessel NFT Collection: Blur or X2Y2
  • You can decouple your Koda at any time via lotm.otherside.xyz/expanded— the site will take you through the burn process to decouple your Koda and Claim your Vessel.

  • After decoupling, your Otherdeed Expanded NFT will continue to be subject to a personal use license only. This means that you may trade and sell your Otherdeed Expanded NFT, display for personal purposes, use as a digital profile picture, etc., but you may not commercialize your Otherside Expanded NFT (e.g. sell tee shirts with your Otherdeed Expanded art printed on it or make and sell games using the land or features of the land shown on your Otherdeed Expanded).

Your decoupled Koda NFT will generally be subject to a broad commercial license. This means that you may use your Koda NFT for personal purposes and also commercialize your Koda NFT.

But, if you purchase an “Otherside Relics by Gucci: KodaPendant”, then that pendant will be subject to a personal use license only. Meaning, for example, while you can use a Koda wearing that pendant as your PFP, you cannot sell a tee shirt of the Koda wearing that pendant).

To avoid unintended usage mistakes, your Koda NFT art that does NOT have a digital pendant will still be made available to you, and you may continue to use that Koda subject to a commercial use license. Further details are available at https://kodapendant.otherside.xyz/#product-faqs

Finally, your Koda NFT may have the opportunity to receive additional visual/trait updates in the future, and each update could be subject to a personal use license or commercial use license. Yuga Labs will make available the license agreement that explains permitted usage of those updates, which you should carefully review.

This is only a high-level summary of the rights and restrictions of the Otherdeed Expanded NFT and Koda NFT and the artwork associated with those NFTs. The full and legally binding license agreement is available at https://otherside.xyz/license/koda.

  • The Otherside Koda # and Otherside Expanded # will match the current Otherdeed # and Koda Metadata # on your deed.

  • Otherside Koda can be purchased or sold via trading platforms, such as Blur or X2Y2. The official Otherside Koda collection links are https://blur.io/collection/otherside-koda https://x2y2.io/collection/otherside-koda.

  • No. You MUST use the UI and website: lotm.otherside.xyz/expanded.

  • Voyagers participating in Koda Decoupling will be responsible for paying gas fees (in ETH) associated with the Vessel claim.

  • The choice is yours. However, you may not be able to participate in Yuga’s future activations that require an Otherside Koda and/or Otherdeed Expanded NFT.

  • The Koda Decoupling period began on April 4, 2023 and will remain open indefinitely. Voyagers can choose to decouple whenever they wish.

  • The Vessel Claim will allow Voyagers to claim a Vessel, an integral role in gameplay for unlocking the Otherdeed Expanded, including Otherside: Legends of The Mara, a stand-alone 2D experience. The Vessel Claim occurs when a Voyager chooses to burn their Otherdeed and mint an Otherdeed Expanded.

The mechanic is similar to the Koda Decoupling: once the Otherdeed is burned, the Vessel and the newly minted Otherdeed Expanded NFT will be sent to the burning wallet.

  • A Vessel, which premiered at the end of the Bone Trailer, is a meteor capable of supporting a Shade and can be used in the defense of the Otherside. Each Otherdeed can participate in the Vessel Claim.

    • Otherdeed Expanded NFT Collection: Blur or X2Y2
    • Otherside Vessel NFT Collection: Blur or X2Y2
  • The Vessel is a free claim for all Otherdeed holders. However, Voyagers will be responsible for any gas fees (in ETH) associated with the claim.

  • The choice is yours. However, you may not be able to participate in Yuga’s future activations that require a Vessel and/or Otherdeed Expanded NFT, including Otherside: Legends of the Mara.

  • The Vessel claim period began on April 4, 2023 and will remain open indefinitely.

  • Yes, the Otherside Expanded # will match the current Otherdeed for Otherside # – your Otherside Vessel # will match your Otherdeed Expanded NFT.

Example: Otherdeed for Otherside #36432 with Koda 9994 → Otherdeed Expanded #36432, Otherside Koda #9994 & Otherside Vessel #36432.

  • All Voyagers will be eligible to claim a Vessel for each Otherdeed they hold.

  • No, Vessel claim is available to all Voyagers.

  • There will be 100,000 vessels. Each Vessel can only be claimed once per Otherdeed, and an Otherdeed can only claim one Vessel.

  • Vessels can be claimed at lotm.otherside.xyz/expanded.

  • Vessels can be purchased or sold via trading platforms, such as Blur or X2Y2. The official Otherside Vessel collection links are https://blur.io/collection/otherside-vessels or https://x2y2.io/collection/otherside-vessels.

  • You may transfer/sell your Vessel NFT and display the Vessel art for personal purposes. You do not own or have a license to otherwise use the art/image related to the Vessel. All rights in and to such art are reserved by Yuga Labs, Inc.

You may not commercialize (such as starting a tee-shirt collection with your Vessel on it) or create derivative works based on the Vessel (e.g., making a 3D model of the Vessel).

This is only a high-level summary of the rights and restrictions of the Vessel NFT and the Vessel art. The full and legally binding license agreement is available at https://otherside.xyz/license/vessel.

  • The Obelisk tracks Voyagers’ journeys within Otherside. Each step in a Voyager’s journey is marked by an Obelisk piece, distributed as metadata to those who participate in an activation. If you hold an Otherdeed Expanded, you hold a key to this evolving vision of Otherside — and to shaping what it becomes. The Obelisk can be found at https://otherside.xyz/obelisk.

  • Yes, Koda Decoupling is an event that will be marked by an Obelisk piece. Obelisk pieces for the Koda Decoupling will be distributed as metadata updates to your Otherdeed Expanded NFT during the Vessel Claim. Stay tuned to Discord Announcements and News.Yuga.com for more information. To view your Obelisk progress, visit otherside.xyz/my-otherdeeds.

  • No. All Voyagers who participate in the Koda Decoupling & Vessel Claim will receive the Koda Origins Obelisk metadata update. The update will be pushed to the newly minted Otherdeed Expanded NFT. To view the Obelisk, visit Otherside.xyz/Obelisk.

  • No. Artifacts and resources will be preserved in the Otherdeed Expanded NFT that’s minted when you decouple. Artifact and Resource metadata will not be affected by the Koda Decoupling.

  • No, a warm or delegated wallet will not work. Koda Decoupling & Vessel Claim is a burn contract that requires direct wallet permissions of the holding wallet. Those permissions cannot be delegated through a warm wallet interaction on the current smart contract. Do not click on links unless you have determined they are safe. You can also cross-reference with http://news.yuga.com and official brand communication channels.

  • The choice is yours. However, you may not be able to participate in Yuga’s future activations that require an Otherdeed Expanded NFT, including Otherside: Legends of the Mara.
