Part card game, part idle tap game, Legends of the Mara open beta pits you and your Otherdeed inhabitants against hostile beings spawned from shattered Vessels.
In addition to hatching Vessels and evolving your Mara, it's up to you to harvest and trade your Otherdeed's Sediment Fragments and defend your land. The more battles you win, the more often that Shattered cough up loot chests. And you'll want to snag them quickly. Otherside loot is limited.
Voyagers averaging the fastest Shattered kills each season will climb the leaderboard for their environment — and decrease the amount of time they have to wait for Shattered to show up. Higher Environment Tiers contain better loot, while higher rankings earn you more loot.
The journey is long. The land is treacherous. And this is just the first stop. Who knows where else your Mara might take you...
Slots & Tiers
Every in-game Otherdeed (aka an Otherdeed Expanded NFT) functions as a game card with slots that you fill. Before you can harvest Sediment Fragments or battle Shattered, you'll need to drag and drop your Oda into those slots to assign them to your Otherdeed.
Your Otherdeed's Environment Tier determines how many Hunters and Farmers (whether Mara, Kodamara, or Koda) can be assigned to your Otherdeed. Sediment Tier determines how much sediment your Otherdeed produces; higher tiers produce the most amount.

Objectives
Fend Off
Threats
Use a combination of Mara, Kodamara, and Koda — plus partner collections in future seasons — to defeat Shattered. Each time you're victorious, you'll receive loot that can be used to craft items for what's ahead.
Harvest
Fragments
Your Otherdeed produces Sediment Fragments that you (or others) will need. Farmer Oda can harvest them, and in the future, you can sell or trade them. You can also feed them to a Mara during a Catalysis, aka an evolution into a Kodamara. And legend has it that Fragments contain an untapped power. Best to keep some handy.
(Space)craft
You defeat Shattered. Shattered drop loot. You get loot famous. Your Environment Tier and ranking affect the rarity and frequency of loot — and partner collections will score you unique rewards. Use your newfound riches to build parts for a spacecraft. Aliens not included. Probably.
The Oda
Oda
Koda, Mara, and Kodamara comprise the Oda, Otherside's original inhabitants. Little is known about them — but what we do know will help you in the battles ahead.
Myst
Myst is LOTM's in-game currency designed to give you a competitive edge. With it, you can refresh abilities, make Shattered appear sooner, and speed up your Vessel hatching when you need backup.

Creation Season Catalysts
The Otherside Odiac contains four seasons, each with its own Catalysts. Use one (alongside optional Sediment Fragments) to evolve your Mara into a Kodamara that takes on new abilities and physical traits. But be warned: Catalysts are limited. Once they're gone, they're gone for good.
New Seasons. New Catalysts.
Use a Creation Season Catalyst for a Kodamara evolution or wait to see what other Catalysts appear each new season. You can only feed your Mara one Catalyst, one time. Choose wisely.
The Friends
LoTM turns Otherside and partner NFTs in your wallet into playable teammates capable of kickassery. These partners add to your Hunters without taking up a roster spot. For more info, check out the FAQ.
Otherside Exploration
Voyagers gotta voyage. Soon you'll be able to journey to the outer reaches of Otherside. To get there, you’ll need to rake in loot — some of which will help you build a spacecraft.
